Children and Families
The Community House's Head Start program provides 160 preschool children from disadvantaged families with the foundation they need to go on to successful experiences in school and life.
The School Age Child Care program aids 200 working families by providing before and after school child care for elementary school-aged children.
Kids in the Neighborhood is an after-school enrichment program which provides 250 elementary school children in West Haven with a safe, constructive place to be in the hours after school.
The WHCH Summer Program offers licensed child care for elementary school children during the summer school vacation -- providing ‘peace of mind’ to parents in need of child care, while offering children a great opportunity for fun, recreation and friendship!
