TEAM Social Activities
The Exceptional Adult Mini-community (or TEAM) program of the Community House offers adults with developmental disabilities valuable opportunities for social interaction and recreation.
Started in the 1960s as the "Tuesday Night Travelers", the TEAM program is one of the longest running services of the Community House.
TEAM Social Club, which meets occasional Fridays, engages about 20 adults with developmental disabilities in fun activities, from bowling and movies, to holiday parties and field trips. The adults help plan the activities they participate in; for many, TEAM Social Club is their primary source of socialization.
TEAM Craft Club is held most Thursdays, offering 20 adults with developmental disabilities the chance to make craft projects and have fun with friends. Attendees include residents of area residential living programs, as well as individuals living on their own or with their families.
