Residential Life Skills Coach (Full Time, Part Time & Weekends)
The LSC provide services to all residents living within the West Haven Community House Residential Program in the areas of daily living activities and independent life skills. The coach implements behavior programs; facilitates and promotes community integration, and is expected to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the residents.
Requirements include:
Salary: $15.00 - $17.25 per hour, DOE
Driver (part time/split shift)
Experienced drivers needed to transport adults with disabilities to and from day program.
Requirements include:
• Valid State of Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of five years driving experience
• Valid Public Service license or CDL
• Must be 21 years of age or older
Hours: 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri, Split shift 7am to 9am and 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Salary: $14.75 per hour
Requirements include:
• Valid State of Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of five years driving experience
• Valid Public Service license or CDL
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Head Teacher (Full Time)
The Head Start Head Teacher ensures implementation of Head Start performance standards in relation to the operation of the classroom.
Duties include direct work with children, classroom management, classroom maintenance, constant communication with other staff and parents and written documentation.
Some knowledge of Head Start, State OEC and NAEYC requirements preferred.
Requirements include:
Hours: 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri, Rotating schedule between 7am to 2:30pm and 10am - 5:30 pm
Salary: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour, DOE
Family Worker - Bilingual (Full Time)
The Family Worker implements Head Start Performance Standards related to family and community partnerships while maintaining a caseload of Head Start families. Follows program protocol for holistic delivery of services to children and families. Provides case management and full range of Head Start services for an assigned case load of families.
Serve as a liaison between the program and the home. Advocates for Head Start children and families in the community. Makes appropriate referrals and follow up to assist families in securing community services. Works closely with all other service area staff to support families by following-up on program requirements and other referrals,and provides crisis intervention and limited supportive counseling when necessary.
Visits families in their homes at least twice a year. Using a variety of strategies, makes contact with each family at least two times each month to provide information, remind parents of appointments, follow-up on referrals and program requirements. Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities including in-take interviews.
Maintain on-going record keeping and documentation system including but not limited to child and family data, Family Partnership Agreements, monthly monitoring reports, attendance, meal counts, and contact sheets, etc.
Work closely with other Head Start staff to facilitate the transition of children into, out of and within the Head Start Program. Become familiar with classroom routine and activities in order to encourage and support the home-school connection. Monitor attendance of the children on assigned caseload and follow up on absences.
Requirements include:
Hours: 35 hours per week, FULL YEAR, Flexible between 7:30am and 5:30pm
Salary: $16.95 - $18.95 per hour, DOE
