Community Connections Positions

Residential Life Skills Coach (Full Time, Part Time & Weekends)
The LSC provide services to all residents living within the West Haven Community House Residential Program in the areas of daily living activities and independent life skills. The coach implements behavior programs; facilitates and promotes community integration, and is expected to maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the residents.

Requirements include:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 1 year experience or High School. Diploma and two years of related experience with adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Must be DDS Medication Administration Certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain within six months of hire.
  • Certification in CPR required prior to hire.
  • A valid CT driver’s license for three or more years, and the ability to obtain and maintain approval from vehicle leasing vendor.

Salary: $15.00 - $17.25 per hour, DOE


Driver (part time/split shift)
Experienced drivers needed to transport adults with disabilities to and from day program.

Requirements include:

• Valid State of Connecticut driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum of five years driving experience
Valid Public Service license or CDL
• Must be 21 years of age or older

Hours: 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri, Split shift 7am to 9am and 2:30pm - 4:30pm

Salary: $14.75 per hour


Administration Positions

Accounting Clerk (Part Time)
To be qualified for this position you must have proven experience processing Payroll and related responsibilities, proficiency in basic accounting functions and excellent computer skills.

Requirements include:

  • Must have a high level of discretion, and be comfortable working with sensitive information.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet all assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be completely fluent with Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel.
  • Must have accounting background, A/P, A/R, G/L posting, accounts reconciliation.
  • Preparation and submission of bi-weekly payroll for approximately 170 employees.
  • Perform various supporting accounting functions as deemed necessary by the Assistant Executive Director for Financial Operations such as researching discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adhering to procedures prior to processing for action.
  • The successful candidate will be experienced with ADP Workforce Now payroll and will be expected to be knowledgeable of all aspects of ADP payroll, including time clocks, set up, maintenance and reporting.
  • Requires at least 4 years of payroll preparation experience, preferably with ADP; High School diploma (some college preferred) and flexible schedule.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 1:00pm or 9:30am - 1:30pm, 20 Hours Per Week

Salary: $16.00 - $18 per hour, DOE
